Pontiac Moon (1994)

Film details

Film about a family whose mother's many phobias have made her stay indoors for more than seven years. Her husband fears that her phobias might turn on to the son, who is not allowed to drive even in a car. So he decides to take the boy and his vintage Pontiac to the Spires of the Moon National Park, which is 1,776 miles away, and so the car's mileage reaches 238,857 - exactly the distance between the earth and the moon. The journey becomes one of self- discovery as well.
