Synopsis

Drama set in the 17th-century. A knight who has lost his wife and children to the plague kills a gambler for a promised reward from a Count. Instead of the reward, he is sentenced to be beheaded. He escapes, and finds sanctuary with a childhood friend. Here he meets a beautiful penniless aristocrat, who marries him and joins him in his rustic home. Together, they plan revenge on the evil Count.
