Nell (1994)

Film details

Jerry Lovell, a doctor working in North Carolina, is called out to an isolated lakeside cabin where an old woman has died. When he arrives he finds Nell, a young woman whose sole human contact has been her mother. Lovell brings in a city psychologist to study Nell's behaviour. Nell soon begins to suffer from her contact with the outside world to the extent that she becomes completely traumatized. It seems that she will end up in the city mental hospital unless Lovell can help her find a place in society.
