All Those in Favour (1993)

Film details

Synopsis

Doug Low of the Sheffield Co-ordinating Centre Against Unemployment argues against the growing view that trade unionism and collective bargaining are anachronisms in the Britain of the 1990s. He illustrates his argument by tracing the changes that have affected Sheffield over the past fourteen years, which have seen a dramatic increase in unemployment and a shift away from a highly-skilled, well-paid to a low-skilled, low-paid workforce. He compares this with the situation in the twin city of Bochum in Germany.
