Film details


A street party is held in a suburban London Square to mark the 1981 royal wedding of the Prince of Wales to Lady Diana Spencer. After two years of the Thatcher administration there is a recession and unrest. While the ceremonial is playing on every television in the square the inhabitants are pre-occupied with their own personal problems and petty squabbles. The films uses extracts from the television coverage and commentary from the royal wedding.
