About the importation of mahogany wood from the Brazilian rain forests into Great Britain for furniture-making and the threat this poses to the way of life of native peoples. Most of the mahogany which can legally be cut in Amazonia has already gone. Much of that which is now being exported is, in effect, being stolen from tribes like the Arara, by sawmill owners operating illegally on tribal land.
