Synopsis

Riker is critically injured and stranded on a developing planet, during a first contact mission. While he is unconscious, Malcorian doctors discover he is not of their race but decide to keep his presence a secret to avoid panic, believing that neither the citizens nor their rulers are ready to accept the presence of an alien.
