The first programme in a six-part series exploring art and value. Examines the sale, in 1989, for several million dollars, of Picasso's painting "Au Lapin Agile". In 1905, the artist himself used the painting to settle his bill at a Parisian café. Shows how the auction house - Sotheby's of New York - attempted to persuade the rich to bid for the painting.
