Synopsis

Stephanie, with her husband Andy and young daughter, has been trying to make a success of running a country house hotel in Northern Ireland, but the business has failed. Her husband has returned to England in search of work, while mother and daughter stay on in the rambling old house. With no money, no electricity and few friends, Stephanie begins to feel very vulnerable and isolated, especially when she discovers there are those who seek to exploit her present difficulties for their own personal ends.
