Convicted women talk about why they feel that the penal and justice systems treat them more harshly than men, arguing that women who don't fit the norm of wife and mother are doubly punished: for their crimes, and for having broken the conventions of femininity. It also considers the adverse affects on family life of sending mothers to prison.
