When droughts devastate Africa millions are driven from their lands. The charasmatic El-Mahdi emerges from the grinding poverty and drought of East Africa to lead a small group of followers on a march to Europe, the land of plenty, under the banner "Watch Us Die". The trickle of malnourished Africans turns dramatically into a huge tide of the dispossessed, much to the great alarm of politicians, and the European nations.
