Good Morning, Vietnam (1987)

Film details

Airman Adrian Cronauer is the morning voice on Armed Forces radio. With a machine-gun delivery of irreverences and a gleam in his eye, Cronauer turns the staid military protocol on its ear. His style is not appreciated by some of his superiors, who attempt to take him off the air, but the military audiences will accept no substitute. While in Vietnam, he befriends a young local boy, but eventually realises he is being used by the teenager who is really working against the Americans.
