Hush Money (1921)

Film details

HUSH MONEY deals with the demolition of a banker's creed that money is almighty: and it is his own daughter who demonstrates to him that heart and conscience are greater rulers of destiny. The theme is developed through the incident of the banker's daughter knocking down a child with her motor car and being persuaded to drive on. The father uses the power of his money to shield her from publicity and the police, but the girl insists on caring for the child in defiance of her father.
