  • Singing the Blues in Red Alternative

A popular East German singer falls foul of the authorities and is expelled from the country. He travels to England to see the father he has not seen since the age of six. He is greeted with great enthusiasm by the West, but he remains ambivalent towards it, and - despite pressure from an American-owned record company - reluctant to become appriopriated as a commodity. Divided into three parts, ACTUALLY EXISTING SOCIALISM, GROSSE FREIHEIT STRASSE and STALINISM ISN'T SOCIALISM. CAPITALISM ISN'T FREEDOM.
