Synopsis

A TV Special for NBC marking Elvis' first appearance before a live audience for 7 years. On June 17th, 18th, 19th June Elvis held rehearsals for the 'pit' section of the Special. Formal taping began at 6.00pm June 27th at NBC's studio at Burbank. A second show was taped at 8.00pm. Two more sessions, again at 6.00pm and and 8.00pm were taped on June 29th. Songs: `Trouble'/`Guitar Man', `Lawdy, Miss Clawdy', `Baby, What You Want me to Do', `Heartbreak Hotel'/ `Hound Dog'/`All Shook Up', `Can't Help Falling in Love', `Jailhouse Rock', `Love Me Tender', `Are You Lonesome Tonight?' (a few lines), `Where Could I Go but to the Lord', `Up Above My Head', `Saved', `Baby, What You Want Me to Do'(second time), `Blue Christmas', `One Night', `Memories', `Nothingville', `Big Boss Man', `Guitar Man' (second time), `Little Egypt', `Trouble' (second time), `Guitar Man' (third time), `If I Can Dream'. The Blossoms sang 'Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child', 'I Found the Light', and 'Yes, yes, yes'.
