Breakdown (1955)

Film details

Callew, a ruthless businessman, views any display of emotion as a sign of weakness. Driving to New York, Callew collides with a piece of road machinery and wrecks his car. When he regains consciousness, he realises that he is completely paralyzed and that everyone assumes him to be dead. His body is shipped to the morgue, where the coroner examines him and assumes him to be dead as well. In frustration, Callew begins to cry and the tears give away the fact that he is still alive.
