After Hours (1985)

A darkly comic nightmare ensures when a computer programmer loses his cab fare.

Film details

Extending the black humour of King of Comedy, this chronicles a nightmarish few hours in the life of quiet computer programmer Paul, who sinks into a lunatic, even life-threatening mire of chaotic coincidences after he loses his cab fare en route to a (kind of) date with a girl (Arquette) he met in a cafe. A screwball study of SoHo modishness, eccentricity and neuroses.
