Synopsis

The Common Agricultural Policy of the EEC produces 'food mountains'. Documentary which looks at the anomalous position which many European farmers occupy in western European economies which creates overproduction of agricultural products but helps to weld rural communities in many countries together. The programme argues the need for reform of the policy.
