Synopsis

Follows Prof. J.S.P. Lumley of St. Bartholomew's Hospital designing new surgical instruments, as he trains other surgeons in the art of making minute stitches, and as he performs an operation to connect a large artery outside the patient's scalp to a tiny artery inside, ther eby increasing the blood supply to the left side of the brain. Made in 1983
