Synopsis

Presents a picture of the men and women who protect, nurse, and are prepared to fire the missiles from a Minutemean Base in South Dakota. It was made after the Americans announced that henceforth their missiles are targetted on enemy missile sites and not on enemy cities as before, indicating a "first strike" policy, rather than one of "flexible response". It outlines clearly the new policy "counter-force" and all its implications, discussing the role of ex-president Nixon in the formulation of the policy.
