During the two elections of 1974, Granada transmitted locally a series of programmes in which some 500 people in Preston were offered access to background information and first-hand contact with "experts". The results were two series of seven and five one-hour programmes. On the Monday before the October election the Preston 500 went to London to meet and question the three party leaders under the Chairmanship of Mike Scott. This film is a record of that day and of the elector's reaction to the politicians and the programme makers.
