Synopsis

Horror story set in 20th century New York. Miriam Blaylock is a woman who belongs to an ancient race which possesses the secret of eternal life. She has stayed alive through supplies of human blood. She has converted humans to her body chemistry in order to have companionship, but after a few hundred years they age rapidly and die. Her human lover of 300 years standing now faces this fate. Her searches for a cure for her lover or a mate to replace him lead her into contact with a woman researcher.
