Spies like Us (1985)

Film details

Comedy about two bumbling bureaucrats, laid-back plodder Emmett Fitz-Hume and technical whizz Austin Millbarge, who have aspirations towards espionage but no talent for it. They are, however, chosen for a mission, but only as expendable decoys for a real spy team. They arrive in Pakistan and are immediately captured by Russian agents posing as their contacts. They escape and find a friendly tribe and some international doctors, among whom they pose as expert doctors. They travel to Russia where a huge nuclear missile is being kept in the snowy mountain forests. Along with one of the real American spies they attempt to render the missile useless, but there are some surprises in store.
