The mysterious death of a condemned man arouses the suspicion of ace reporter Scoop Conner and his cub Bell. Their investigation reveals that a gang was in league with certain prison people to prevent the prisoner from confessing. Originally called MURDER IN THE BIG HOUSE, it's title was changed to HUMAN SABOTAGE when released in Britain. It was later re-released in 1945 as BORN FOR TROUBLE after its lead (Johnson) became a big star and Emerson married a Roosevelt. Based on the book MURDER IN THE DEATH HOUSE by Jerry/Jerome Chodorov.
