Synopsis
After their life story was filmed as 'The Broadway Melody', MGM offered vaudeville stars the Duncan Sisters the opportunity to appear in their own starring vehicle. They leave their jobs in the sheet-music section of a department store for vaudeville until romance with a piano player breaks up the team. Highlights include the song 'Let a Smile Be Your Umbrella (on a Rainy Day)' and musical numbers in two-colour Technicolor.
