Synopsis

Period drama. 1946. A passenger ship sinks off North Africa and the only survivors are an Arab stallion and Alec Ramsay. Alec trains the horse and eventually rides it. After being rescued, Alec takes the horse to New York, where neither are happy. Although the horse cannot race legally as it has no papers, a race against the world's two fastest thoroughbred's is organised, and Alec rides the stallion to victory.
