The Way We Were (1973)

Film details


Period romance. In the 1930s, Katy, a left-wing activist, falls in love with fellow student, Hubbell, who shows signs of becoming a great novelist. They meet again during World War II, and go to Hollywood where Hubbell adapts his novel for a film, while Katy becomes involved in protesting at the Un-American Activities Committee hearing. Their love is unable to survive their politics.
