Film details


Melodrama. A wealthy but crippled artist helps the village blacksmith to send his daughter away to be educated. When she returns, the artist falls in love with her but she spurns him for a farmer's son and the artist becomes broken and embittered. Her father is blinded by sparks, but she leaves for the city with her new husband. When her husband is killed in a work accident, she returns to the village and gives birth. Although her son becomes the joy of the artist's life, her father spurns her. When she tries the power of positive thinking, the artist throws away his crutches and acknowledges his love. The story is completed when her father is brought home by her son for a joyous reunion.
