An indissoluble bond of friendship unites a Malayan communist, an American officer and a Eurasian girl after three years fighting in the Malayan jungle. Subsequent events strengthen their individual beliefs and force them apart. When the men meet in Ng's terrorist hideout only personal loyalty remains between them. Dhana, whom they both love, is torn by her love for Ferris and her hatred of British rule. She is found in possession of hand-grenades and, refusing to give information on Ng, condemned to death. Ferris goes alone into the jungle to capture him. Candace, daughter of the British resident, who is in love with Ferris and convinced of Dhana's innocence, follows. She is captured by Ng and held hostage. Ferris finds them fleeing after a British attack and they start back. Ng attacks Ferris and is shot by Candace . Dying, he confesses to framing Dhana on superior orders. Ferris and Candace are too late to save her. The three friends are finally parted.
