Film details


Victorian England. Former sea captain William Targett returns from Dahomey, Africa, to his native Dorset village as landlord of "The Sailor's Return". He brings with him his black wife Tulip, a native princess, and her young son. Bigotry and ignorance are shown against the Targetts, finally erupting into open violence.
