The Oklahoma Kid (1939)

Film details

WESTERN. John Kincaid and his family, along with Judge Hardwick attempt to stem the growing lawlessness and vice that springs up in their town when the Cherokee Strip is sold and settlers move in. This brings them into conflict with Whip McCord and his men. However, Jim Kincaid, the son of John, black- sheep of the family and nicknamed the Oklahoma Kid also becomes involved when McCord frames his father for murder, fixes the trial and subsequently stirs up the town into a lynch mob. He goes after McCord, as does his brother Ned. The Kid gets a confession and his brother is shot by McCord and dies, but not before killing McCord himself.
