Period comedy. Nome, Alaska, 1900. Gold prospectors George and Sam celebrate after finding a goldmine. Sam goes to Seattle to bring back George's French fiancée, but finds that she has married someone else. Sam finds a similar French woman, known as Angel, working in a saloon called The Hen House, and suggests that she might be a suitable substitute for George. Angel and Sam sail to Alaska and both reject Sam's idea of Angel being George's new woman. They travel to the new claim and a rivalry springs up as Sam, George and George's 17-year-old nephew all fall for Angel's charms, but she only has eyes for Sam.
