Synopsis
A gambler, Joe Adams, takes on a the identity of a recently dead sailor, Joe Bascopolous, to avoid being drafted for service when the US enters the Second World War. Joe sets out to use a war relief charity organiser, the socialite Dorothy, as an excuse for a gambling party. But he and Dorothy begin to fall in love, and so he must decide whether to carry out his plan or double-cross his own gang and let the money do its war relief work.
