Story of anti-semitism and prejudice in British high society. During a house party, a thousand pounds is stolen from the room of guest Ferdinand de Levis, a Jew. He accuses fellow guest Captain Ronald Dancy of the crime, and the matter ends up in the Royal Courts of Justice.
