Synopsis

The eldest daughter of a selfish count sacrifices her love to look after him and her brother and sister. Disillusioned she determines that her sister shall marry for love. Her sister loves a married man unable to obtain his freedom. The affair becomes a scandal and the father learns the truth about himself from his daughter.
