Synopsis
The owner of a pearl fishery in the South Seas, Val Stevens, leaves Lucille immediately after their wedding to help rescue survivors from a ship wreck. Eric Blake and Captain Deever are the two he rescues and Eric accompanies him and Lucille on a pearl fishing trip and Eric subsequently saves Val from a giant octopus. A relationship develops between Eric and Lucille and Captain Deever reveals this to Val, believing that Eric is a fugitive from the law. However, Val is actually the fugitive and Eric is a detective tracing him. Eric decides to leave Val and Lucille to get on with their lives and he leaves the island.
