Comedy. The weekend escapades in Paris of a widely assorted party of Britishers. At a conference, the government's Sir Norman Barker makes a breakthrough with intransigent Russian delegate Panitov by having a wild night out with him, for which Barker pays a heavy price. Dicky, a drummer in a marching band, visits the Follies Bergère, and takes pity on hostess Josette who befriends him there, once he learns more about her life. A young woman, Susan, is befriended, wined, dined and it seems seduced by an older Parisian man, Max. An artist, Gwladys, befriends an Englishman who spends his life copying the Mona Lisa. A cricket and racing fan, George Stilton, spends his time in the most English bar in Paris, which observes British licencing hours. Scottish Andy is humiliated when his kilt flies up at a fairground, and Raymonde helps him out. They fall in love but their romance is quickly put on hold when he accuses her of stealing his wallet.
