If I Were King (1920)

Film details


Francois Villon, the vagabond poet, becomes Chief Constable of France and on behalf of King Louis XI, vanquishes the Burgundians. When the crafty king tries to have Villon killed after the victory, the poet is saved by the love of a lady. Adapted from the story and play by Justin Huntly McCarthy.
