Joan Moore, a gauche young girl, spends a holiday in Cannes with a group of wealthy fashionable friends. Feeling ill at ease, and hoping to attract the attention of Eric, she seeks the advice of the glamorous Eugenia, who transforms her with beautiful clothes and jewels. Ironically Eric has been attracted to her because of her simplicity and Joan is persuaded to forsake her new lifestyle.
