Introduction
This drama debut from writer-director Jill Craigie follows the story of a miner’s daughter as she leaves her small Welsh village – and her sweetheart Tom, who decides to remain and continue his career in the colliery.
The lyrical film score connects with the roots of traditional Welsh music and was composed by Grace Williams, the first woman to compose for a full-length feature.
