Looks at the historic origins of the coronation ceremony illustrated by ancient prints and manuscripts from the Bible and Early Medieval period through to Queen Victoria. This is followed by an artist's conception of the details of the ceremony as it will take place in Westminster Abbey when the Queen is crowned in June 1953 (the film was produced and released prior to the occassion).
