Cross Creek (1983)

Film details


Historical drama set in 1928. Marjorie Kiniston Rawlings leaves her journalist husband in New York to live in an orange grove in Florida to write a novel. She has an affair with a local hotelier, acquires a young servant and is befriended by an eccentric neighbour. Her novel is rejected by the publisher, who suggests that she should write more from her own experience.
