Lord of the Flies

Based on the classic novel of the same name, this film explores Freudian notions of what evils can lie within our unconscious as a group of boys abandoned on an island slowly begin to destroy each other. Director Peter Brook was nominated for The Golden Palm at the 1963 Cannes Film Festival for this acclaimed adaptation.
